Capel Curig to Marchlyn Mawr Reservoir and back to Capel Curig.
This was a preroute check for the Snowdonia Tour.
When ever you are taking riders out, you should all ways do a preroute check, If you dont and you arrive at a destination, only to find there is no where to go you will look very stupid.
As a Technical Mountain Bike Leader, it is my job to ensure a smooth ride and an enjoyable one.
As me and David arrived to the summit of the Lake, i was looking for a pass to get to the otherside of a Slate Quarry in Bethesda, but only to come to a dead end.
We headed back down the trail to pickup from the last destination that would take us to Bethesda, and lead us on to Llyn Ogwen Trail back to Capel Curig.
This was a very hard ride with some major climbing involved and in a very low gear, yep the Granny Ring and using only 1st and 2nd gears , Wales has some very big climbs but there descents are amazing.
In all this was a very good ride.
